Strike up the band!

VERWOOD Concert Brass Ensemble will join us on Sunday, December 16, for our candle-lit carol service and Nativity Narrative in the church starting at 6pm.

The band – formed as long ago as 1864 – has performed at the National Brass Band Finals of Great Britain on six occasions and has played at our village fete. We look forward to it accompanying our annual carol singing. The Nativity Narrative will be read by members of the congregation and was written by Helen Francis, sister of All Saints resident Jane Benson.

This will be followed on Christmas Eve (4pm) by our very popular crib service which is led by the children – and this year there is a new look at the old story. Everyone welcome. Refreshments to follow.
